About Me

My Story

My name is Amber Klesel and I am currently enrolled at the University of Houston Clear Lake pursuing a bachelor's degree in Fitness and Human Performance. I obtained my associate's degree from San Jacinto Community College, my License of Massage Therapy from Texas School of Massage, and my Personal Training Certification from the National Federation of Personal Trainers.

My long-term goal is to open a wellness practice and collaborate with other practitioners. In 2019, I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease and told the disease was incurable. The gastroenterologist said I would need to get monthly IV blood infusions for the rest of my life to manage the illness. I felt hopeless, depressed, and unsure of what to do. Fortunately at the time I was attending school for massage therapy and I was surrounded by people familiar with healing from autoimmune diseases naturally. I spent the next three years making major lifestyle changes, researching various medical systems, and using trial and error to find what worked for me. Today I have no symptoms and take no medication, and I feel better now than I did before falling ill. My purpose now is to share what I've learned with others who have been diagnosed with incurable, chronic illnesses so that they can learn to heal themselves.

Professional Philosophy

My mission is to empower others to take their health into their own hands. My role as a professional in the field is to educate others on the underlying causes of their symptoms, develop awareness around what may be contributing to their pain, and teach them ways to help themselves.

For example, if someone comes to see me with a mysterious pain in their neck, it would be my role to explain to them that there are various factors contributing to their pain. It could be their stress level, their posture, how they sleep, the shoes they wear, their level of physical activity, and so forth. From there, I would guide them in developing awareness of these factors. Finally, I would empower them with tools to find relief when symptoms arise and to build new habits to help solve the root of their problem.

All in all, my priority is to help those who come to see me as best as I can during and after our sessions together. I want others to feel they have the power and knowledge to live a healthy, pain-free life.
